Fencing and decking
Fences, gates and timber decking for the garden, set out properly and built to last.
Fencing and decking
Outdoor joinery for Leeds gardens
A fence or a deck takes everything the weather throws at it, so the groundwork matters as much as the timber. Posts set firm, frames kept off the wet ground and boards fixed with the right fixings are what stop a fence leaning or a deck going soft.
We put up new fencing and gates, replace panels and posts, and build timber decking, from a small seating area outside the back door to a raised deck on a sloping garden.

Questions
What people ask
When is the best time to build a deck?
Spring and summer are the busiest months for garden work, so it is worth booking your measure-up early. Decking can be built for most of the year as long as the ground is not waterlogged.
Do I need planning permission for a fence or a deck?
Most garden fences and low decks do not, but there are limits on height, and different rules beside a road or for a listed building. Check the Planning Portal or ask Leeds City Council if you are unsure.
